Hackathon Thank You!

Posted on by Monica Sanjines

The most important people who made the event exciting and success are the Android Developers of the 30+ teams who worked day and night for last weekend. The energy, creativity, passion spread in the camp built the foundation of the event.

The credit also should go to a group of volunteers (Most of the key volunteers did not participate in any team). Android DevCamp couldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the individuals over the recent weeks. They kindly donated their time and expertise to bring this event to fruition. The key volunteer bio are attached bellow.

I am grateful to all the volunteers, especially these folks:

Chief designer - Crystabelle Lopez: she is amazing organizer, and I gave here the the best volunteer award! She designed our logo, website, flyer, and did most of the maintenance work which is a daily job! And she helped many other things, including registration, buying food. And she is open to new UI design opportunities!

Perrine: she is a wonderful person to work with. Extremely professional, polite, at same time, very creative and can drive things to get them done (not easy to have both :) Also, she is a fantastic MC!

Judge Panel Moderator – Jamie Allen: he is the most solid project driver. Delivered everything promised on the time frame promised.

Chief Food Officer: Perry took a job which was very difficulty to to do, and most volunteers were scared away, and he made it with lots of effort!

Keithen, is a great volunteer, and wonderful attitude and took many simple tasks, including timer, ballot counter, etc.

Venkat: registration at 8AM at morning for two days is not an easy job, especially for many developers.

Roberto, our very persistent sponsorship coordinator. he is very quiet but sent lots of emails to make the sponsorship happen!

Then, of course, the two co-organizers of the SVAndroid, Nelson and Lawrence who never dropped the ball!
